LIGHTSAVER AUDIBLE
Learning to use the Pixel Stick is hard in it’s own right, understanding how it works in coordination with the camera and how to time everything requires practice and patience, even when you can hear and see the person operating the camera clearly. So it’s REALLY hard to do it on the beach in the middle of the night, where the waves drown out the calls to “Go!” and hand signals are rendered useless. That being said, we did not get the shot that we set out for. BUT that doesn’t mean the shoot wasn’t a success. We ended up pivoting to using the light stick without movement, giving it the “lightsaber” effect and letting it light up the ocean water. In all honestly I did ruin my camera a little bit shooting that far into the ocean - my LCD screen hasn’t worked since - but we made some memories and cool photos.
