Tornado Day

Taken just west of Des Moines in Mitchellville, IA; I actually pulled off at the rest stop because a state trooper hit a U turn behind me and I thought I was getting pulled over. As I pulled into the rest area I saw people running and pointing, I grabbed my camera and ran along with em (I was hoping it was a crashed UFO to be honest, it had that kind of vibe) and got my 200mm zoom lens focused just in time before the funnel cloud disappeared. I originally thought this was a lucky coincidence but apparently there was 28 reported that day, I guess it wasn't such a long shot. Quite the afternoon driving home from Des Moines.
